Cartwright Anniversary Seminar - August
Each year, to commemorate the release of the Cartwright Inquiry report, Women’s Health Action holds an anniversary seminar and chooses a topic which examines the dynamics of gender and power within social institutions in the spirit of Cartwright.
Suffrage Day Breakfast 19th September
Women's Health Action holds an annual themed Suffrage Day breakfast to reflect on the lives of those who struggled for women to have the right to vote and on those who continue to work for an equitable world.
The "Big Latch On" - first Friday in August
Each year, to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, Women’s Health Action proudly coordinates the Big Latch On, which involves women coming together at registered venues across the country to latch on (breastfeed) their children at the same time. The aim of the event is to normalise breastfeeding, raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding, and encourage women to form support networks.
