Women's
Health Action is a charitable trust with the aims
of providing
women with high quality information and
education services
to enable them to maintain their health
and make informed
choices about their health care. We have
a health promotion
and disease prevention focus, with a
special interest
in screening.
We approach health within a
holistic framework
of the whole of women's lives, rather
than from a
narrowly medical perspective.

The Women’s Suffrage Breakfast is a wonderful opportunity to meet with friends and celebrate Suffrage Day.
Given that this is an election year we have decided that this year’s theme should concentrate on women in politics and we are assembling a panel of women politicians to focus on the up coming 2008 election.
We have invited spokespeople on women’s issues from all political parties currently in parliament to join this panel so far our confirmed speaker’s include Jackie Blue from the National party, Sue Kedgely from the Green Party, Heather Roy from the ACT Party, Denise Krum from United Future, we also have confirmation from The Labour party, Maori party and NZ First that they will be sending a spokesperson to represent their parties.
The suffrage breakfast will be held in the Newmarket Room at the Ellerslie Event Centre, Ellerslie Racecourse, Auckland from 7-9.30 am on the 19th September 2008 |
