Breastfeeding in the Workplace

A major focus WHA is taking is to promote breastfeeding amongst women in employment. This involves employers providing Breastfeeding Friendly Workplaces and mothers being well informed and supported.

WHA is currently creating a dedicated website for breastfeeding friendly workplaces (www.bfw.org.nz) This site will provide comprehensive information and resources for employers and employees about creating Breastfeeding Friendly Workplaces this site will also allow organisations to register for and become audited for Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace Certification on-line.  The site will be launched in early June.
