Community Birth Services

Community Birth Services offer free information and support to help whanau achieve their breastfeeding goals. Qualified Lactation Consultants or Peer Counsellors provide virtual or phone consults, clinic or home visits. You can refer yourself, or a lead maternity carer, Whanau Ora support staff, well-child provider or general practice team can make a referral on your behalf.

We cover the MidCentral region (Palmerston North, Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua Districts).
