Big Latch On at Te Whare Piringa – 2026

Join us for a vibrant community event as part of the Big Latch On. This annual initiative promotes and celebrates breastfeeding in all its forms, acknowledging that every whānau journey is unique. Our goal is to make breastfeeding visible and supported, highlighting how it uplifts the health and well-being of our entire community.
Whānau Fun: Enjoy small kai, breastfeeding related games, and prizes in a welcoming, inclusive space- all are welcome!
Support & Kōrero: Share your breastfeeding journey with others and connect with new or familiar faces. An IBCLC, along with other health and community support professionals , will be present to share breastfeeding info and will be available for a chat and to answer quick breastfeeding questions.
The Big Latch On: (optional) Join a synchronized, timed latch-on connecting us to thousands of others across the motu and around the world.
