We’re proud to host a Big Latch On 2026 event as part of our hospital’s breastfeeding-friendly care and support for whānau.
Find our event in the entrance of the neighbouring / conjoined hospital “Waipapa”
This is a relaxed, come-as-you-are get-together to celebrate breastfeeding/chestfeeding, connect with other parents, and access supportive people who “get it”.
You’re welcome whether you’re:
* feeding a newborn and finding your feet
* weeks or months in and wanting reassurance or fresh ideas
* on an extended breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey (toddlers welcome!)
* breastfeeding directly, pumping, using donor milk or combination feeding – whatever your feeding looks like right now.
No pressure. No judgement. Just a friendly space to latch (if you want to), ask questions, and feel supported.
