Join us for an empowering morning with spot prizes for māmā and whānau, fun activities, and the chance to meet other parents and caregivers. If you’re currently breastfeeding, expressing, mixed feeding, or simply supporting a breastfeeding journey — this event is for you. Come along, meet other māmā, and be part of something empowering and normalising for whānau and our community.
Ūkaipō WBOP Breastfeeding Coalition is a collective working party of organisations working across sectors to support and nurture māmā, pēpi and whānau. As a whole, we:
– Focus on improving holistic health and well-being of mothers, infants, and whānau.
– Advocate for and support breastfeeding universally and help to reduce breastfeefing barriers.
– Work in collaboration for peer support and information sharing.
– Initiation, continuation, and confidence in breastfeeding for women, whānau and the community.
We are going to be based in the foodcourt of the Pāpāmoa Plaza, so easy to find a park and easy for whānau to find us.
