Whanganui Plunket Breastfeeding Support Service

Free breastfeeding support for māmā wherever they are on their breastfeeding journey. Available to all whānau, even if not enrolled with Plunket. We run drop-in clinics, or you can contact us by phone or email to make an appointment.

Milk Café runs every Friday from 10am to 12pm (except for public holidays) for māmā to come along and get support with baby feeding. Hapū māmā (pregnant women) are welcome too. Lactation consultant is available virtually to give advice and answer any questions.

We also have a Swap shop on Mondays & Wednesdays, 10am-2.30pm

We offer a childhood immunisation service for tamariki under five and whooping cough vaccination for hapū māmā. It is free of charge. Whānau can call our Plunket admin line on 0800 184 803 to make an appointment, or get in touch with the kaiāwhina or nurses at our Whanganui clinic.
