Kahu Taurima Big Latch On Whakatane

Te Tohu o Te Ora o Ngāti Awa is thrilled to once again host the Kahu Taurima ‘Big Latch On’ Whakatāne event, and we can’t wait to share this special day with you!

When: Friday 4 April 2025, 10.00am – 1.00pm.
Where: Kahu Taurima Whare, 43 Domain Road Whakatāne. (Parking available next door at the Whakatāne Rugby Park entrance)

The Big Latch On event is a beautiful celebration of all feeding journeys – breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and everything in between. It’s a time for parents to come together, connect, and share experiences in a warm and supportive environment.

We are excited to welcome back a professional photographer to capture beautiful portraits of our māmā, pēpī, and whānau. This year our space is even bigger, allowing us to accommodate even more of our community.

This event is more than just a gathering – it’s a celebration of connection, support, and the beautiful journey of parenthood. Whether you’re a new parent, an experienced caregiver, or simply curious about the Big Latch On, we welcome you with open arms.
